ACT Fabric Take Up

The ACT motorised automatic friction roll system has been developed to ensure that constant fabric take up tension can be maintained.
Due to the demands of more critical yarns, and increases in the use of elastomeric yarns, maintaining constant tension is vital to avoid costly fabric faults.

The take up tension is set by digital switch and the fabric is controlled by a friction rollers with the tension being maintained by a variable speed motor, which compensates for variations in tension due to changes in areas of jacquard or stripes etc.
